Dear Parent/Carers,
Active Schools Edinburgh are excited to share with you our Summer ASN Holiday sessions specifically targeted to pupils with an Additional Support Need across mainstream and special schools. Please find attached the booklet outlining session times and locations.
Please note bookings will open on Monday 1st June at 9am. The link won’t be active until this time.
Please see the attached booklet, which outlines the specific age groups and ability groupings for each activity. For the swimming sessions, we ask that you sign up for one week only due to high demand. Our coaches and support staff aim to create a supportive environment where your child can learn new skills and, most importantly, enjoy taking part in sport and physical activity. When booking, where possible, please select the ability level that best matches your child.
We expect these sessions to fill quickly. A waiting list will be created for anyone who is unable to secure a space. You can book online by clicking the link in the table within the attached booklet, or by visiting – Active Schools and Sport Development – ASN Summer of Sport Opportunities 2026 – Fill in form
Many thanks,
Edinburgh Active Schools.

Dear Parents and Carers,
We received official notice that our car park and drop off area at Woodlands will be out of use from Monday 11th May until the end of June. We have been working with Kier Construction on alternative arrangements for drop off and pick up for our young people and we will do everything we can to reduce any impact these changes may have. Further information including a plan of the new arrangements will come to you next week, but please be aware that the car park will be OUT OF USE from 11th May
Rhoda
Dear Parent / Carer
I hope you are all well. We held our first Parent/Carer Coffee Morning at Woodlands last Thursday and Mark Ralton from VOCAL attended. We had a fairly good turn out, but more importantly the parents who attended felt the session was extremely helpful in providing very useful information. We will be holding the coffee mornings every month.
